Through hands-on training and mentorship from experienced aviation maintenance professionals, you’ll gain the skills and confidence needed to succeed and grow.
As a Bench Operator, you’ll use a variety of tools to prepare several types of aircraft engine blades and compressor blades for repair. You’ll have the opportunity to learn and support different areas of the shop.
What you’ll do:
Set up and operate a variety of hand tools such as hammers, files, dremel's, drills, presses, pedestal grinders and belt grinders
Operate low temperature ovens and hand grinders to perform various operations
Blending, blasting & stripping of aircraft engine blades
Chasing threads, deburring, angle checking, coldworking metals and masking
Other duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications:
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds without assistance
Ability to stand for at least 50% of shift
Desired Skills:
Experienced with hand tools and/or power tools
Previous experience reading/interpreting manuals, technical drawings, and /or blueprints
Flexible to support different areas of the shop as priorities shift day to day
- Team player attitude and flexible with leaning in to assist with duties outside work scope
