TEL Staffing is now hiring a full-time CNC Programmer for a well established manufacturing company in Holt, FL.
 

We specialize in fabrication, construction, machinery, and plant design for diverse industrial projects across the continent. Originally rooted in the forest industry, we are continually evolving to meet the demands of various industrial sectors with new projects.

Established in 1994, we fabricate the highest caliber, most durable machinery on the market and supply major sawmills around the world. ASM is a large capacity precision machine shop with CNC capabilities. We fabricate almost everything in-house. We have several large-scale milling machines which are capable of machining large, welded assemblies, up to 6’x6’x22’.

About the Role:
As a CNC Programmer, you will be responsible for programming and optimizing CNC machines using Mastercam, translating mechanical engineering drawings into reality, and ensuring that every part meets our exacting standards. This is your chance to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment that values innovation and excellence. You will have the option to work out of the Holt FL shop -OR- the Irvington AL shop.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program CNC machines using Mastercam to produce components with precision.
  • Develop and test CNC programs to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Create setup sheets and detailed documentation for machinists to follow.
  • Read and interpret mechanical engineering drawings and blueprints.
  • Plan machining operations, selecting tools and cutting parameters for efficiency and precision.
  • Ensure compliance with GD&T standards during programming.
  • Verify completed programs through simulations and test runs.
  • Identify and resolve machining errors or programming issues.
  • Perform root-cause analysis for production issues and propose improvements.
  • Optimize machining programs to reduce cycle times while maintaining quality.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to refine processes.
  • Stay updated on the latest CNC technology and incorporate advancements into operations.
  • Work closely with machinists, engineers, and quality control teams to ensure seamless production.
  • Maintain accurate records of programs, revisions, and tooling requirements.
  • Provide technical support and training to machine operators when necessary.
  • Assist with troubleshooting and basic maintenance of CNC machinery.
  • Ensure tools and machines are calibrated and ready for production.

Requirements:

  • Education: Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field considered an asset. Equivalent work experience will be considered.
  • Minimum of 3 years of CNC programming experience, with a strong focus on Mastercam.
  • Hands-on experience with CNC machining and a solid understanding of tooling and material properties.
  • Advanced proficiency in Mastercam programming software.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret mechanical engineering drawings and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
  • Familiarity with a variety of CNC machines and controllers.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • A proactive mindset with the ability to adapt to evolving technologies and processes.

Salary / Pay rate:

Starting pay rate will be $26/hr. - $30/hr. (Depending on Experience)
