We are seeking a hands-on, experienced Electrical (E/I) Shop Supervisor to lead a team of 6–10 employees for an industrial manufacturing facility in Cantonment FL.
This role is responsible for overseeing daily operations in the electrical department, ensuring high quality workmanship, compliance with safety standards, and efficient project execution.
Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate the activities of electrical shop personnel
Interpret and work from wiring diagrams, layout drawings, and specifications
Size and select wire, conduit, transformers, fuses, breakers, and disconnects
Perform cable and wire terminations in accordance with drawings and project specs
Inspect electrical components for accuracy and quality
Tag and identify parts, components, and wiring (color and size) using appropriate methods
Utilize hand and power tools to perform conduit bending, threading, wire terminations, and all assembly operations
Install cable trays, conduit systems, and power cables for both general purpose and hazardous areas
Install major power distribution equipment such as MCCs, switchgear, transfer switches, and power panels
Power up systems during customer Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT)
Prepare projects for customer FAT and support checkout activities
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of relevant industrial electrical experience or Journeyman Electrician certification
Strong background in industrial electrical installation, especially large equipment like MCCs and switchgear
Understanding of electrical circuits from low to medium voltage equipment
Knowledge control panel assembly and wiring standard practices and I/E components and their function
Familiarity with identification methods (wire labels, component tags, etc.)
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and create wiring tables
Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical systems
Knowledge of NEC, NFPA, UL standards, and general industrial electrical practices, including hazardous locations
Strong organizational, leadership, and planning skills
Good computer literacy
Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening

STARTING PAY RATE: $35+/hr. (Depending on your level of Experience)
SCHEDULE: Monday- Friday 7am-3:30pm
