As a Quality Inspector, you’ll ensure the safety, reliability, and compliance of aviation products by performing in-process and final inspections, verifying assembly, and reviewing all applicable documentation. You will identify and report nonconformances, enforce FAA, regulatory, and company standards, and actively participate in continuous improvement to support production quality and operational excellence.
What you’ll do:
- Inspect assembled products physically and through documentation to ensure compliance and safety.
- Verify completion of work instructions and confirm correct product configuration and identification.
- Review historical logs and ensure all product documentation is accurate and complete.
- Prepare and validate release documentation, including certifications and non-conformance (NCT/MRB) records.
- Ensure all work follows applicable quality procedures and production standards.
- Assist in troubleshooting technical issues within the production cell.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for production processes.
- Supervise and support the training of Product Quality Inspector trainees and cross-train team members.
- Move between assignments using multiple skill endorsements to meet production needs.
- Observe and report safety hazards, performing other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
3–6 years of directly or indirectly related aviation quality/inspection experience
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (unassisted) for approximately 25% of the average work day
Regularly required to sit for prolonged periods
High school diploma required
Must meet US Persons requirements per ITAR
Desired Skills:
FAA-issued A&P or Powerplant license preferred
Qualified in the detail inspection function
Knowledge of product configuration, assembly, and assembly methods/techniques
Skilled with precision measuring instruments and dimensional inspection techniques
Understanding of regulatory requirements for maintenance of aeronautical products
Knowledge of documentation completion requirements
Familiarity with production management systems and internal controls
Knowledge of quality standards for the production process
Able to complete the Quality Inspector Training & Development Plan
Strong decision-making skills to ensure compliance with customer, regulatory, and company requirements
